Every memory and moment in life is so valuable that’s stays with us forever.

Every moment is an ordinary experience. However, it is our emotions and more so our imaginations that engrain these moments forever more as bright and fond memories that turn an ordinary day extraordinary.

 

This series reflects a story of the childhood memory that took place in a garden. Capturing the essence of joyfulness in this particular place. Engaging the viewers with the artwork, it’s an experience led by child thoughts of unrealistic imagination. Away from reality, the mind of a child swims in thoughts and delusion that has no limits in its imagination. You never know where you will go next!  It could sink deep in the ocean or fly on top of the clouds.

 

Deep in the ocean there are many interesting creatures that grab my attention. One of those creatures is the jellyfish that I chose to represent it in my work. The Jellyfish’s movement, shape and its delicate transparent skin, has always fascinated me. The fast flowing movement of the jellyfish is portrayed through the girl’s active movement. However, jellyfish is known that it is dangerous and could kill you. In this unrealistic environment things could change if we chose to perceive it differently or look at the other side of it. Children usually approach things differently; they are brave enough to take risks than adults. It’s interesting to show this juxtaposition in a striking image of a jellyfish. It grabs your attention immediately whether being amused, scared or even confused of what you see.

 

Very often children wonder if they ever could fly and maybe reach the clouds, in this endless imagination this become possible to imagine. Flying with the birds and diving through the floating cotton candy like clouds.  It is a wonderful experience of exploration and shifting to different places through imagination.

 

The concept of the photo manipulation series inspires me to continue exploring with different mediums. Representing using different materials and techniques to reflect this moment. Showcasing this imagination of this moment in a specific atmosphere but takes you different places. Color, composition and variety of elements are the main aspect that reflects the feeling of this piece.
